Who is Cheryl Turner?
I am a gal who loves lots of things. My family takes first place. However, they are in stiff competition with my love for lip gloss and purses. I love to read sitting in my lawn chair in the sun. I crochet in the winter when the nights are long. I wish I had more time to sew. I love to cook and have people over - if people didn't come over, my house would never be clean. I secretly wish I could go on tour with a band and sing back-up.
I receive a paycheck from our small town public school district. I'm the PreK - 8th grade librarian (Library Media Specialist to be exact but who cares about that) and I love it sooooooooo much. I have the best job ever. For lots of reasons. I try hard to make the library a warm and welcoming place. When this gig is over and I can no longer maneuver my old lady walker through the book shelves, I plan to edit inspirational romance novels in my pajamas by the fire.
Finally, but actually firstly, Jesus is my reason. "LibraryCalling" is not just a catchy vlog name but also represents the fact that God said "Will you be a librarian/teacher and show love to everyone you meet?" and I answered that calling with a "yes". I hope that you will do the same in your own life. (not necessarily the being a librarian/teacher part but the answering God with a "yes" part.)
